James Corden has finally been given approval to demolish his 1960s Oxfordshire home after months of delays.
The presenter relocated back to the UK with his wife Julia Carey last year and is planning to pull down the property and build an £8 million six-bedroom mega-mansion, complete with a pool and spa.
James, who recently returned with his family to the capital after ending his US chat show The Late Late Show, has previously faced objections from the local council and English Heritage about the project.
In January, experts also warned that the area nearby was littered with Roman and prehistoric finds, with archaeological work to be done to find out whether there are any historic settlements on the site of Corden's Templecombe House.
To undertake the vast build, James will have to comply with dozens of regulations to safeguard local wildlife and trees, according to The Sun.

The council previously approved the plans, with the note that a number of conditions would have to be met.
Plans for the application show that the vast project will mean the excavation of 4,977 cubic metres of soil - the equivalent of two Olympic-sized swimming pools.
It's thought that James is hoping to use a majority of the soil for the driveway and parking area, and his team will work with specialist ecologists so as not to harm biodiversity.
There is also landscaping to keep safe 45 granite megalithic stones on the grounds.
MailOnline has contacted a representative for James Corden for comment.
The star recently sold his LA mansion to the daughter of a Hong Kong private equity billionaire for $17.1 million - $5million less than what he wanted.
He handed over the keys to LeeAnn Akouri-Shan, daughter of Weijian Shan, 69.
James first listed his home back in the fall at $22 million, a whopping $12 million more than he purchased it for in 2017 from 'Modern Family' co-creator Steve Levitan.

The comedian later lowered the asking price to $18 million and quickly caught the attention of Akouri-Shan, who put in an all-cash offer, according to The Real Deal.
The 8,600-square-foot property is located in the upscale Brentwood neighbourhood and has seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms and sits on nearly a half-acre lot.
After purchasing the property from Levitan, the comedian and wife Julia Corden - who is an interior designer - made significant renovations.
The redo was lengthy and reportedly incredibly pricey for the pair who are now expected to move back to their native United Kingdom after Corden ended his run hosting the CBS late-night show.
The couple have been married since 2012 and share three children together.
Additionally, the Cordens will have to fork out and give up an even larger portion of the profits thanks to Los Angeles' new mansion tax, which burdens sellers with a 5.5 percent levy on sales larger than $10 million.
Akouri-Shan's new home has been described as 'New England traditional' and features many amenities for a private but lavish lifestyle.
The home is located behind gates and stays secluded thanks to a hedge out front.
Inside, the sprawling 8,600-square-foot residence includes a fireplace-equipped living room, an eat-in kitchen with marble countertops, and a library.
For film buffs, the house also comes with a movie theater that seats 20.
The property also comes with a large family room that opens up onto the garden.
A pool, pergola and private gazebo are featured prominently in the backyard, which also has plenty of space for outdoor activities.
Upstairs, the home's master bedroom has a private balcony, a lounge area, and two bathrooms.

In April, Corden gave a glimpse at his lavish home in his last ever Carpool Karaoke segment with Adele.
The 'Chasing Pavements' singer surprised him by waking him up in his bed.
Adele, with the help of James' camera crew, entered through the front door and gave fans a look at his spacious entry hall.
The crew caught some of the home's finer details including its mahogany floors and a dark brown rug leading into the living room.
As the group moves through the home, a dark marble fireplace could be seen in the background along with a pair of French doors leading into the garden.
James has previously given a glimpse at his kitchen in other clips from his show, with the room dominated by a huge white marble island.
The walls were covered in white tiles and matching cupboards while the star added an elegant finish with black countertops.
Since the sale, James has since moved back to the UK with Julia and their three children - Max, 11, Carey, eight, and Charlotte, four.
